The team behind Sassy Minerals never had much use for rules. We didn't like being told what to do as children, and we still don't. We also didn't like the fact that when the little boys got mouthy, they were just "being boys" – but when little girls did it, we were "sassy." Reprimands are bad enough without the double standard!

After spending a vast amount of our childhoods in Time Out, we decided to embrace our sassiness for the greater good of humanity. We say speak your mind! Stand your ground! Give a little attitude! And never let anyone tell you blue eyeshadow should be illegal!

Of course, we could have applied our sassy skills to any number of ventures. We chose mineral makeup because we wanted natural, mineral-based but bold eye pigments and couldn't find them anywhere. As total makeup junkies, we love creating lightweight foundation formulas that give you flawless coverage without weighing you down. After all, every artist deserves to start with a flawless canvas.

At the end of the day, we just weren't ready to settle for anything less than exactly what we wanted. If that makes us Sassy, so be it! We know you'll love the results of all this attitude. Enjoy!
