How to have the most fun and enjoy endless combinations with Sassy Minerals!
First Base: Sassy Minerals Primers, Foundations and Finishing Powders
PRIMER: To apply, tap a small amount of powder into the lid and work into your brush using a circular motion. Gently sweep onto the face to create a smooth, even canvas and prepare your face for an airbrushed look, courtesy of your Sassy mineral foundation!
FOUNDATION: For a flawless foundation application, simply tap a small amount of foundation into the lid and work into the bristles of your brush using a circular motion. Once the brush is evenly loaded so that the distribution of powder is even in the bristles, apply to the skin in gentle, circular motions. Sassy mineral foundation is designed to be buildable, so it is best to apply a light layer first. You can always add another layer if you want more coverage.
FINISHING POWDER: This works just like the primer: Tap a small amount of powder into the lid and work into your brush using a circular motion. Gently sweep onto the face to complete your canvas!
So Cheeky: Sassy Minerals Blushes and Bronzers
To apply mineral-based blushes and bronzers, tap a small amount of powder into the lid and work the powder into your brush bristles using a sweeping back-and-forth motion. Once the brush is evenly loaded, sweep gently underneath the cheekbone. You also may apply a light layer of blush or bronzer to the apples of the cheeks for a healthy glow. And don't be afraid to use the bronzer lightly all over for that sun kissed look!
Eye Candy: Sassy Minerals Powders and Liners
Girl, this is the heart of Sassy right here. The fabulous color range and depth in the Eye Candy category yields a virtually unlimited number of application techniques and color combinations. For starters, when using a loose powder for eye color or eyeliner, it is essential to really work the powder into the bristles (and this is particularly true for lining). This way, you’re less likely to have small specks of eye powder falling onto your gorgeously blushed or bronzed cheekbones (we hate that, too!). Tap a small amount of powder into the lid of the jar and work your brush around in a circular and sweeping motion until the powder is good and stuck in there. Give the brush a light tap before applying to remove excess powder. Now this is where we get fancy... For a sheer wash of color or a soft, natural look, apply the powders dry. To dial up the drama, apply with a damp brush. This brings out the undertones of the colors and makes them gleam. Wet pigments also adhere super well. One final note: try patting on Sassy's super-shimmery shadows rather than sweeping them on for a more dramatic effect. You're welcome!
Now, This is Where You Throw Away the Rule Book
You know us, we like options: Just because we call it a blush doesn't mean you can’t use it as an eye color, and vice versa. In addition, many of the colors can be used with a gloss or balm to make a complementing lip color. However, keep in mind that some of the pigments we use are not permitted by the FDA to be used in products that are ingested (like lip products). Now, these are not dangerous chemicals... they're just pigments that have not been approved for consumption. Sassy is careful to include a color-specific ingredient list on all product pages on the website. When using a color for the lips, please check the specific ingredients and avoid using products containing the following ingredients: Chromium Oxide Greens, Ferric Ferro cyanide (Iron Blue) and Ultramarines. All Sassy powders also can be used in combination with nail polish to create a unique nail color. This can be accomplished by adding the pigment to a clear polish. Fun, eh? Be sure to let us know any other ways you find to use these fab products!
